A Day of Reckoning is At Hand
It feels as though I have written this essay before. It may have been on my mind for a while now, but I have to put my thoughts on record while they might not be as popular on this final Sunday prior to our U.S.A. National elections.
It feels as though people are afraid to state the truth as it stares them so vividly right in their faces in the bright light of day. This is not some hidden dark power plaguing mankind but instead a very boisterous individual wheeling power of his egoic narcissism purely for his own self-gain. Why are so many people falling for such wickedness? That alone should tell you just how far off the axis that we have fallen from God’s design for mankind. When someone can lie, cheat, and do all kinds of wickedness and everyone seems to be afraid of him that is a new low and it should tell us a lot about society as a whole.
A day of reckoning is coming, and it was necessary for all to see the image that God sees. It is because of this outright wickedness that a mirror has been placed in front of us. The people of God cannot avoid what is being revealed but there are others that are captured in the shock and awe of this perpetrator. He thinks it is one big game and they like it because someone has the gal to thumb their nose at the system.
That would be a good thing if he really wanted to fight for the rights of the weak and the disenfranchised, and the poor, and those in great need of assistance, but this is only for the benefit of one giant egotistic maniac. He cares as little about those who follow him as he does a fly smashed on the windshield of the limo, we pay for him to ride. He will throw anyone, I mean anyone, under the bus if they dare disagree with him or if they say one bad thing about him even knowing that it is God’s honest truth. And still, his followers will not depart from him. A day of reckoning is at hand!
What will reckoning look like? Right now you are in the middle of it and many do not know it because their eyes are not focused upon the light of God’s truth. People see what they want to see, and it is not necessarily what God is revealing. God is revealing clear unrighteousness and people are seeing this tough guy that stands up for them. Just what part of God’s character do you suppose he has? I can clearly see his character and there is not one fruit of the Spirit in him. I dare you to name even one! Of course, you do know what the fruit is, don’t you?
Pull out your holy bible and look up Galatians 5: 22–23. Read it and tell me which fruit you see in this character. You might want to look up in the chapter and read verses 19 through 21 and perhaps those characteristics will be closer to what you see in this person. And still, he has millions and millions of followers. A day of reckoning is at hand for them as well. You are eight for or against God and there is no middle ground on which to stand.
One of the most powerful scriptures to enlighten you on what God is saying to His people right at this present moment was written thousands of years ago in approximately 430 B.C. by Ezra according to Jewish traditions to the nations of Israel. Though it was written for God’s people of those times it was written just as clearly for God’s people of today and the warning couldn’t be more precise. He says:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Doesn’t that sound very familiar to what is going on right now, today! But Ezra did not stop there he continues to say, speaking for God:
“Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.”
This place is today the entire world, the world that God alone created and populated with all people of every divide. It was not until the gospel was spread throughout the nations that such a warning would be at hand. God is listening to prayers from this place to see who is clearly for Him and those who are not. A day of reckoning is at hand for those who are not! If they care to follow a fool into destruction, then so be it!
Untold death, suffering, and misery are already amongst you. There is more to come but to those who belong to God the ticket home to be with the Lord is just closer at hand. God will not be mocked by imbeciles. Neither will He allow them to crush the spirit of His people. They dare mock Almighty God! A day of reckoning is at hand. Let all the children of God turn to Him now while He can be found. His ears are attuned to their prayers. He has plans for them to prosper and not be harmed.
Normally it is best to stay out of the bushes but there are times when it is necessary to stand up for what is right and decent and godly and righteous. All of God’s children need to stand up against evil no matter how it shows its ugly head. We have such a character right out in public view, but you need not worry too much about him. He is only fulfilling the same role as the pharaoh once played in attempting to keep God people in bondage. We know what happened to him so with this one people need to pray that God shows mercy. He is attentive to our prayers right now. Now would be a good time to issue that prayer because a time of reckoning is at hand. Selah!
