Let’s Have a Talk With God

I don’t recall a point in my life when the entire world slowed down enough to draw people into the arms of God. Many unbelievers are in a panic mode because of fear of the unknown. They see no clear path in front us them so naturally, they are afraid. Looking at what’s going on in the world there is a reason to be cautious and prudent, but living under a state of fear is not what true believers practice. This would be a good time to turn and face God seeking His divine counsel… a great time to clear out those things you have been carrying around so eventually, this too shall pass; during the process, you will be made whole and complete, not lacking anything… as referenced in scripture.

I find it quite amazing that at this particular point in time God decided to speak so loudly. People have been boldly practicing unrighteousness without consequences where we can connect the dots with the infractions. Because of this many lose faith and hope. These are usually the newbies who are not yet strong in their faith. The slightest catastrophe could easily rock them off their center of gravity like a child that is still nurturing on spiritual milk. This is understandable and more of a reason to turn to God rather than stoop to fear caused by the evil one.

At times such as this more people usually flock into their worship houses but because of the pandemic, large gatherings are not advisable. This is when the children of God should realize where the true church lies. God never leaves His children alone because He resides right inside them in the chambers of their spiritual hearts. His children will find comfort in His holy sanctuary and speak openly with their Heavenly Father. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me.” 23rd Psalms.

The true children of God know they have sanctuary and even though evil parades before them, they are not alone… they take comfort in knowing that the Lord encamps His angels around those who love Him. “The angel of the Lord encamps around them that fear Him, and delivers them.” Psalms 34:7. Verse 8 says: “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trust in Him.” I can’t speak for other faiths but the Holy Bible is an arsenal of weapons to combat what is happening in the natural and armor to protect themselves right at this present moment in time. I find God’s Word quite comforting knowing that I am not alone facing this astonishing event.

Our current president believes: “I alone can fix this,” he said to his followers. I don’t know where you anchor your faith but I certainly do not have faith in man to undo what God allows. The world is spiraling out of hand and we are due for a course correction. We know that in all things God Will is at hand so even though there is suffering, our Father is there to cover the immortal souls of His children. They only need to turn to Him and seek His counsel. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

Our Father said to His chosen: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicle 7:14 When He said this to His chosen people back thousands of years ago He was likewise speaking to all His children of future generations. He IS the same now and always throughout the times. The children of God hear His voice and know to take heed. Christ said, “My sheep listen to my voice, I know them, and they follow me.” He also said: “If you remain my me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you.” These are not just powerful words printed on sacred scrolls, they are God’s promises to His children… only those who belong to the Lord will hear them while others remain afraid.

So if you are a believer, these words are for you. This would be a good time to speak with your Heavenly Father and take this unique time while the world stands still for a moment. Listen to His words as the Holy Spirit ministers to your heart. When it rains, it will fall on the just and the unjust all the same but the children of God are not to live in fear and stupor. His weapons (rod) and His shield (staff) are there to comfort them. Right at this very moment, He lives in their hearts. I personally like going into my quiet space closing the doors behind me and speaking openly with the Lord and allow Him to speak back with me in that same place. I am so delighted that He would take the time right here and right now to make His presence known to His children. In closing listen to what apostle Paul wrote in the book of Ephesians 10:

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Then Paul proceeded to explain what he considered to be the full armor pieces of protection.

If you are an elder of the faith share God’s word with those you know are still on spiritual milk and comfort them through these trying times. This too shall pass! Just know that God does all things for the good of those who love Him and live according to His purposes.

If you have been called you realize what is going on so take this time and speak with your Heavenly Father. Find a quiet place where you can hear His gentle whisper… now that the world has silenced its massive noise. Let’s have a talk with God… Selah!
