Take a Stand for What is Right
As a Christian, I know that taking a stand for God is synonymous with taking a stand for what is right. Most of us know the difference between what is right and wrong, even though on certain occasions we might like to muddy the lines. There are times when it is more beneficial for us personally that we hold our nose and make the wrong decision, knowing we are doing so. Somehow we hope the gain was more beneficial for us that our calculated loss, especially if no one sees us. With small things we might not feel any remorse but when it comes to adhering to the truth that is a slightly different cloth.
God says, “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” Ultimately there is no getting around the truth because whatever is done in the darkness will be brought into God’s light of truth. Now we know that man’s version of the truth is not the same as God’s truth. Just as a man will try to muddy the line between right and wrong, he tries, unsuccessfully, to do the same with the truth. However, truth belongs to God alone. No matter how much a man would like to become the arbiter of truth, God will not allow it!
Our nation, and in many cases, our world is going through the precipice of a new normal. If we continue to allow our chosen leaders to bend the truth towards their personal favor, God will no longer be standing with them and by association, with us. This is regardless of whatever song and dance story our leaders try to play on us. Fortunately, you will know the tree by its’ fruit. Be not confused by their idle chatter. God says, “He that is not for me is against Me”… you chose. You cannot serve two masters.
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
These are the words spoken by Christ in Matthew 6:24. I use scripture here intentionally because there are those amongst us that claim to be Christian and yet they are attempting to shade the truth or mesh the lines between right and wrong. Every man is free to do so at his own peril. Those who attempt to alter God’s truth will have to answer to Him for taking such a stand. There is but one ultimate Judge over all and His lines are crystal clear as noted in the two scriptures mentioned above.
It is totally amazing that many of our “religious leaders” have chosen to follow and support a leader that tells lies whenever it serves his personal needs. Many that support him will attempt to justify their reasoning by claiming there is some sort of worthwhile gain they will receive in return for supporting such an immoral person. God does not work in that manner. You are either for or against God no matter how much you would like to obscure the lines. Anyone who willingly and knowingly takes such a stand using the name of God will have to pay a very high price to God for his or her misgiving. God shall exact His vengeance upon them at the appointed time.
“Vengeance is Mine, and recompense;
Their foot shall slip in due time;
For the day of their calamity is at hand,
And the things to come hasten upon them.’”
Anyone who misrepresents God will have to answer to Him. Yes, their foot shall slip in due time and their day is at hand. We need not worry about such charlatans. As far as the political leaders whom God allows to lead His people, “to whom much is given, much is expected in return.” I am not sure what god they are claiming to serve but it most definitely is not the One written in the Holy Bible on which they swear their oath of service.
“Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to the lease of these My brethren, you did to Me.: And also: “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.” Matthew 25 “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment.”
I am actually not sure what game our current leaders are attempting to play or who they think they are fooling, but to the only One that matters, “Their foot shall slip in due time, and their day of calamity is at hand.” Let both those who serve as leaders of the common people and leaders of God’s people hear God’s message and take heed. To God, right matters… truth matters. For what good does it serve to gain everything this world has to offer and lose your immortal soul? A day of reckoning is at hand!
Anyone who claims to know God, love God, serve God or even represent God knows that there are no muddy lines when it comes to the truth. God’s children should always take a stand for what is right and always stand by His truth. Anything less than truth opposes God… there is no ambiguity. Fortunately, we do not have to worry about what form of punishment God will administer upon the wrongdoers. Every knee will have to answer quite personally to their Maker. But as for the children of the Most High God, you are judged on a much high standard. There are no cloudy or muddy lines. You are either for or against God. The truth now, and forevermore, is always the truth. Always take a stand for what is right by God and you will be right with God. Selah!
