The Mass of Christ
As we contemplate celebrating the Mass of Christ, even if you are not a Christian it is important to note the effects this special holiday has on our world. You may disagree with it as a historical event or the ideology, theology, or religiosity that it stands for, but on a worldwide scale… is there any other mass that is more highly acclaimed? This fact alone says something that is worthy of consideration.
I would be among the first to complain about how mortal men got into the mix and distorted the history and significance of this event to their advantage essentially molding it into something they wanted to reveal. We know how those in power at the time seized control over the narrative that the world would eventually accept, but just how much of the final message was God Himself sending the world?
Essentially He is saying:
I am here,
I am God,
I see you,
I know you and,
I made you.
Though you are not pure, holy, sacred, or even righteous, I am still your God and I want you to be redeemed and further sanctified back to Me.
I offer to you a means of returning to the position that is available to all who seek Me. But you are free to make your immortal choice to accept Me or not.
No matter what, I will still be here, I am still God, and that is final.
I AM THAT I AM.
It was stated eloquently through the prophet Isaiah:
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
Happy Holidays!
God offered a gift to mankind. You are not compelled to take the gift but for those who do there is a great gift awaiting under His Christmas Tree. To each and all may this holiday produce the best of all the goodness that man has to offer no matter what, or how you celebrate this day. God smiles when all His children portray acts of kindness using brotherly or sisterly love. Selah!
