What man does for evil… God turns it for the good.

In the book of Genesis, chapter 50 there is a scripture that says: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” Joseph’s brother had sold him into slavery but God had other plans for Joseph to save many lives, including his brothers who sold him into bondage along with all their families for many generations to come. The bottom line is that God is always in charge no matter what mankind decides to do with his free will choices. This does not mean that bad things will not happen to good people but that God watches over all His people and ultimately protects the most valuable part of their being, their immortal soul and spirit. Although this might sound foreign to people unfamiliar with the essentials of existence, the children of God know exactly what this means.

People tend to look at things and judge them by logical and rational means. We use our minds, our eyes, ears, and other physical body members to interpret the world around us. If we cannot see things or otherwise use our senses to figure things out we tend to place them aside in an unopened file. It is like one of those unsolved crime mysteries. We know something is there but for whatever reason, we cannot solve the situation so we put it aside perhaps hoping to reopen the case once further evidence comes to us. Obviously this mannerism does not apply to the spiritual realm. The spiritual realm is everlasting, meaning the laws of science, logic, and reasoning does not apply to spiritual existence. Physical laws control things that are physical while spiritual laws control the spiritual realm. The two are not compatible when you try to compare them side-by-side. Therefore no matter what mankind decides to do or not do, God’s divine will shall overshadow mankind’s willpower.

God’s will is not depending upon what a particular person decides to do even if it is evil and the most atrocious act in existence. That one person would have lived perhaps about one hundred years or less and caused much destruction but God is eternal and works all things backward from the end back to the beginning. The final results have already been tabulated in the eyes of God while we are yet to go through the motions of physical time. God is omnipotent and omnipresent in ALL and at all times. No matter how smart or devious mankind might be, he cannot overshadow God’s plan for mankind. If evil people decide to do evil things then God allows their free will to take place while He wills the final outcome toward His ultimate plan. In the case of Joseph’s brothers selling him into slavery, God already had a plan where this would actually be a great thing, unbeknownst to what his brothers did maliciously.

We see the power of evil and how potent it appears to be in our society. We see very powerful people that abuse their power for selfish reasons and it appears that they get away with their evil deeds. What you cannot see is that no matter what evil people decide to do with their limited power, God’s plan has already incorporated their wickedness into what He was doing in His people, primarily with their eternal souls. I like how the Hebrew boys dealt with King Nebuchadnezzar who threw them into a fiery pit. They said to this powerful king: Daniel 2: 16–18:

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to him, ‘King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.’

Obviously these young men lived by their extreme faith and belief in God so even if this wicked king threw them in the furnace and they were killed in the process, they still trusted in almighty God. They only knew and believed in God because God was in their hearts. And yes, God delivered them. This story of extreme faith has lived eternally to encourage an untold number of people living through intense moments of history. What one man did for evil God used to show His children how real faith works. It is not that we will be thrown into a fiery pit but we will go through some stuff and it helps to know what it means to have faith and trust in Almighty God.

Even if you are facing acts of evil or injustices of many kinds, you have to know that God already sees the truth and has made adjustments accordingly. No matter what the outcome, God will turn it for the good of those who love Him. Ultimately we are all striving to reach the path that is ahead of us, which is the final destination that God handpicked for us. You know the kingdom of heaven is at hand but you cannot use the laws of science, logic, or reasoning to apply towards determining God’s divine will. You can only use spiritual laws such as faith and truth to get you there.

In our current times, you see what happens when mankind gets too far out of hand. God allows things to happen that causes major shifts that will be etched in the annals of His book of life. God does this from the end of time, as we know time, back towards what we see as our present now. Mankind has no idea of what is to happen while God has already watched the conclusion. Ultimately all things will work for the good of those that love and serve almighty God. When you see very powerful people act very maliciously causing harm to people from all walks of life, the good and the bad, you wonder just when God will step into the picture and set things straight? Knowing how slow to anger God is I wouldn’t worry about those that cross God. They will get their just due in the most appropriate time. They are earning their measures that shall be mete. Just as the good you do will come back to you, the bad that people do will come back to them. Spiritual laws control this from a place far out of the reach of mankind.

Rather than placing our focus and attention upon worrying about things that are completely out of our control God wants us to concentrate instead on doing the good. Passionately go out and do things that you know without question are helpful to others and in that manner, you are storing treasures in heaven. No mind can conceive of what God has in store for those who do such things. This should be the primary object of your concern because most certainly God will bless you in kind. Don’t worry about what others are doing because God has a plan for that. Take the same energy and use it to do good for your fellow believers, even for the unbelievers. You cannot do too much good. Keep on doing it until the cup runs over. Light will overshadow darkness. All praise to Almighty God… Selah!
