Why Should We Care?

Everyone doesn’t care about the same things that, is not a secret. If everyone were caring and decent what kind of world would this be? Apparently that was God’s design but this goes back to what I just said before, not everyone cares about the same things.

Am I a better person for being God-fearing than someone who does not fear God? This could be considered to be a subjective question but my argument is based upon God being the sole divine Creator of all things that exist. You may choose to disbelieve in God therefore caring about the things God cares about would be irrelevant to you. So just to be clear, if you do not believe in God then more than likely you do not care about the things He cares about.

Let me back up a bit in order to engage our minds from the same starting point. God chooses to communicate directly with people that He wants to reach so this is really not my message. It was something that went through me intended for someone God wants to draw near. I am not selling anything or asking anyone to believe anything. When or if God wants to reach someone it is He that sets the stage. He will also use who or what He wants to deliver the message. Once He even used a donkey to speak with a man. Check it out in Numbers 22: 28–30

So, why should anyone care about the things that God cares about? Whether you believe God created existence and everything in it is irrelevant because I cannot prove to you in a way that is indisputable. Only God can reveal His truth to you. However, one thing is quite clear, neither you nor I created everything here. We exist in a place that was created by some power or force. Something is responsible for all of creation being here. Nothing happens on its own without something causing it to happen. So here we sat on this stage that was created by something for some reason that we might not quite understand.

Though understanding the workings of God is very deep and even unsearchable… to a degree, it is possible to learn some things just for seeking. When I say seeking I mean a deeper query that comes from the center of your being where your soul and spirit reside. God delights in showing His children more divine knowledge but refuses to communicate with unbelievers or the foolish. So let’s dig even deeper into this subject.

God cares about the world because He created it. Not only did He create the world He created existence. All things that exist came into being because God decided to let it become just by the mere thought. He created existence out of His own substance, which contains pure love and all things good.

There are many layers to creation. The manifested world of form (physical existence) is but a small piece of it. We know that the physical world has imperfections but it fits perfectly in the scheme that God is achieving in the ALL. This passageway of mortal life leads toward a higher level of existence. If you do not believe in the first order, that God exists in the first place, then you can’t begin to imagine higher orders of existence. Just know that God created the ALL and you are in it right now en route through your eternal passage of the soul and spirit. Where and how your soul lands are why you should care as God cares, but a single lifetime is far too short to teach you all you need to know about eternity. Thankfully the Father is very patient with His precious creations.

Perhaps you have heard that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son?

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” John 3: 16–18

This particular passage sums what I am referencing about caring and believing but to those who do not care or believe scripture continues to explain:

“This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” Verses 19–21

This passage answers why you should care because you are not just born here on earth you are here with a purpose and mission. God wants you to learn the difference between good and evil, light and darkness and He wants you to choose good over evil by your own free will otherwise He will not force His ways on you. But… in order to continue the passage through eternity you must do so on His terms. Remember, neither you nor I created this existence but we are going through it so we are beholding to something or someone. The quicker you learn that simple fact the faster you can start awakening and achieving what you were born here to achieve.

By the way, many people have a problem with Christ, His role, and the function He serves in the totality of things. You need to understand that He is the manifested Word. The Word was with God in the beginning. He was pre-chosen at the beginning to come into the world at a specific station (place and time) in order to reconcile mankind back to the Father. However, not all mankind wants to be brought back into right standing with their Creator. That means not all souls will be saved as the scripture tells us. This is not because of God’s lack of caring for all people, but because of their willful choices. If they chose to live eternally in darkness away from the light of God… that is a choice. God respects our choices. You just need to know that there are no other existences… our options are either for or against God… you pick!

Why would Jesus, the manifested Son of God teach us life principles as noted in His famous Sermon on the Mount as recorded in the gospel of Matthew? It covers the basic lessons by which people should live their lives. He shared with us a lesson plan for the unspoken mission of all mankind, which is to align their immortal soul with their Creator. For those who do not believe in Christ perhaps they consider such things rubbish so why should they care? Surely if they do not believe in God the Father they certainly will not believe in Christ the Son. If there is no belief you can just forget about the Helpmate that Christ left with us to show us way back into the kingdom?

Why should anyone care about this? It is only your immortal soul that is at stake. Right now that might not mean very much to unbelievers but over the course of eternity, it unmistakably will. Every knee shall bow before their Maker and account for every single thought, act, and deed they have ever made. That is a promise from God. You don’t have to care about this but it shall unfold as God promises. Just as He unfolded creation in the beginning, He will real it back to Himself in the end days. He IS the Alpha and the Omega.

So here is the verdict: The Son of the Living God was sent into the world for the salvation of souls but if you do not believe in the existence of an immortal soul then who cares? If you do not ascribe to such thinking then why even care at all? Eat, drink, and be merry for the day, and time will come when there will be gnashing of teeth (Luke 13:28) and terror in the hearts and minds of immortal souls. Unbelief does not spare the consequences of turning your back on your Maker.

The very simple answer to my title question is that we should care about the things that our Maker cares about because we were made by Him, in His likeness to be like Him in many ways. Only He has all the answers to all we would ever need to know about all things. And… He will also inform us should we come to him humbly with a contrite heart. This is why you should care and care very deeply. To Almighty God be the glory… Selah!
